T-Birds lose four games to rain in California
RIVERSIDE, CA - The UBC Thunderbirds (1-3) softball team's first road trip as a varsity team competing in the NAIA ended with back-to-back days of rain outs, cutting their inaugural trip from eight games to just four.
UBC had their semi-final and medal game canceled at the Lancer Invitational on Saturday before scraping a pair of contests against Cal State San Marcos the following day.
There is no plan to make-up any of the rained out games.
They return to league action in two week's time as they travel to Portland for the Northwest Cup. They are scheduled to play five games in that tournament which runs from February 19-21.
