TORONTO - Fourth-year offensive lineman
Oamo Culbreath was the lone UBC Thunderbird selected in the 2010 CFL Draft on Sunday, going 46th overall to the Calgary Stampeders.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Kingston, ON native, who was taken with the second to last pick in this year's draft, was ranked 10th in offensive guards by TSN's Duane Ford in his pre-selection rankings.
Culbreath has started in a variety of roles along the offensive line for the T-Birds over the past three years, including long stretches at centre following a season-ending injury to UBC starter Dan Mendes at the beginning of the 2008 season.
Forde described Culbreath as a, "smart three-year starter [who] has good technique and size but needs to find consistency."
Culbreath is eligible to return to UBC for one more CIS season.
